James West, a top 6% analyst from Evercore ISI Group downgrades NE to a hold rating and lowers their NE price target from $64.00 to $41.00, on Jan 15, 2025.
Evercore ISI Group's James West downgraded their rating on Noble (NYSE: NE) from Buy to Hold on 2025/01/15. The analyst also lowered their price target by 35.9% from $64 to $41.
West downgraded Noble Corp. in a 2025 preview of names in their Oilfield Services portfolio.
Stocks in the group have been grappling with the "dual negatives" of a low-growth North America characterized by a "rapidly consolidating customer base and capital restraint internationally that have ended any semblance of a coordinated global upcycle for the industry."
These headwinds have been worsened by the "wobble" in 2H 2024 oil prices, the analyst continued.
Further, Evercore ISI Group's global E&P spending survey indicates flat spending in 2025, leading their firm to cut its FY 2025 estimates by 10% across the sector to reflect the more cautious spending outlook, West said.
The analyst added that their firm downgraded seven names in the group besides Noble Corp.
