GATX Overview

GATX Corporation leases railcars in the U.S. and internationally. In addition, jointly with Rolls-Royce Ltd., it owns an aircraft spare engine lease portfolios. The company's fleet of rail cars includes tank cars, freight cars, covered hoppers, open-top hopper cars, and gondolas. It primarily serves the petroleum, chemical, food, mining, and transportation industries. GATX was founded in 1898 and is headquartered in Chicago, IL.
