The company operates nine manufacturing complexes worldwide which include 17 ammonia plants, the largest of which is in Donaldsonville, LA. Formerly known as the Central Farmers Fertilizer Company, CF Industries Holdings was founded in 1946 and is based in Deerfield, IL.
