BHP Group Limited is a mining, metals, and petroleum company formed in 2001 by the merger of the Australian Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited and Anglo'Dutch Billiton plc. The company four operational units are coal, copper, iron ore, and petroleum. As of 2022, BHP is the largest company in Australia and the largest mining company in the world by market capitalization. Formerly known as BHP Billiton, BHP Group is headquartered in Victoria, Australia.
