NGG Overview

National Grid plc owns and operates electricity and gas transmission and distribution networks in the UK. The company provides installation and maintenance services to electricity metering and LNG suppliers, develops and operates electricity inter-connectors, stores LNG storage, and engages in insurance and corporate activities. The company also builds sub-sea electricity inter-connectors to join the UK to renewable energy on continental Europe. National Grid was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in London, UK.
