Hot or Not, Stock Market Edition: 11/05/2026

Happy Thursday. Here’s what the Zen Ratings are drilling into and storing away today:

  • Hot: Oil and gas giant Petrobras (PBR) made its third discovery off Brazil at a P/E under 7; home health provider BrightSpring (BTSG) raised guidance after a Q3 beat
  • Not: Solar equipment maker Enphase Energy (ENPH) hit a six-year low after a double miss; storage REIT Public Storage (PSA) is dead last in its industry

P.S. Don’t miss our roundup of 4 stocks to buy heavy in November 2026 (catalysts before Thanksgiving!)

America's Economist Explains This Stock Market in Three Words

Something strange is happening in the stock market. Dr. Mark Skousen, the economist who called the '95 tech boom and the 2009 bottom, has boiled it down to three words. And if he's right, what happens next could make or break your retirement.

Watch the one move he says to make now – free, right here.

🔥 HOT: Brazilian oil giant Petrobras (PBR) just gave investors a reason to look past the political noise. The company announced another offshore oil discovery, production rose double digits, and refinery utilization is running near full capacity. That operational momentum comes after a sharp election-driven selloff, creating an interesting disconnect: the politics rattled the stock, but the business kept getting stronger.

PBR has a Zen Rating of A, a Strong Buy recommendation. The Component Grades show why the underlying case remains strong: Value, Momentum, and Artificial Intelligence all earn A grades, while Sentiment and Financials receive B grades. That says investors are getting a cheap stock with powerful price strength and improving fundamentals. Bottom line: Petrobras has fresh production catalysts, a low valuation, and a near-5% yield, making the political selloff look more like noise than deterioration in the business.

🥶 NOT: Solar equipment maker Enphase Energy (ENPH) just confirmed that the residential solar slump is still getting worse. Third-quarter earnings and revenue missed, sales declined, and weak guidance sent shares down about 20% to levels not seen in years. For investors, the problem is that the stock still trades at a premium even though growth has nearly stalled.

ENPH has a Zen Rating of D, a Sell recommendation. The Component Grades show why the turnaround case remains weak: Growth and Sentiment both earn F grades, while Momentum gets a D. That points to falling expectations, little business expansion, and a stock trend still moving the wrong way. Bottom line: Enphase has interesting new technology opportunities, but residential solar remains the business that matters today, and that business has not turned yet.

🔥 HOT: Home and community health provider BrightSpring Health (BTSG) keeps giving investors reasons to raise expectations. Third-quarter earnings and revenue beat estimates, management lifted full-year guidance, and specialty pharmacy sales are growing rapidly. Margins are improving too, helped by operating leverage and greater use of AI. For investors, this is a case where the business is accelerating at the same time management keeps raising the bar.

BTSG has a Zen Rating of A, a Strong Buy recommendation. The Component Grades show that strength is broad: Growth earns an A, while Momentum, Sentiment, Safety, and Financials all receive B grades. That says the company is expanding quickly, the stock trend is healthy, and the financial foundation is keeping pace. Big picture view: Raised guidance, fast specialty-pharmacy growth, and improving margins make BrightSpring one of the more convincing healthcare growth stories right now.

P.S. Looking for more high-growth stocks? Here are 3.

🥶 NOT: Self-storage REIT Public Storage (PSA) is a good business at a price that may be asking too much. Results are still growing and management raised its outlook, but forward earnings growth is expected to stay in the low single digits while the stock trades near its high at a premium valuation. For investors, that means much of the good news already appears priced in.

PSA has a Zen Rating of D, a Sell recommendation. The Component Grades show where the mismatch sits: Sentiment earns an F, while Growth and Safety receive D grades. That suggests expectations are weakening even as the stock remains expensive and growth stays modest. Bottom line: Public Storage is stable, but investors are being asked to pay a premium for growth that may barely outpace cash alternatives.
