Hot or Not, Stock Market Edition: 10/15/2026

Happy Thursday. Here’s what the Zen Ratings are powering up and pulling the plug on today:

  • Hot: FPGA chipmaker Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC) is riding the AI data center buildout; shale producer Chord Energy (CHRD) trades below book value with analysts lined up
  • Not: Bitcoin miner turned AI landlord Bitdeer (BTDR) can’t fund the pivot; data center operator TeraWulf (WULF) is carrying crushing leverage

P.S. Want more timely hot stocks? Here’s our take on the next big market surge…

A note from our sponsors...

The ONLY AI opportunity you should be looking at

This is the ONLY AI wealth-building opportunity you should be watching right now.

No. It's not about Nvidia, Tesla, or Meta...

It's about one overlooked company profiting off AI "digital goldmines" that are poised to experience 100x growth very soon.

This new opportunity will change the market and make investors a lot of money.

That's why it has received a $500 billion commitment from President Trump himself...

Learn more about this little-known company here >>>

🔥 HOT: Williston Basin producer Chord Energy (CHRD) is getting leaner and more focused. Its $550 million asset sale shifts capital back toward the core Williston business, while margins have improved and leverage has fallen sharply. For investors, the catalyst is a simpler company generating stronger cash flow while still returning money through dividends and buybacks.

Shares are up more than 70% from their low but remain below their high, and the valuation is still unusually cheap at under 10x earnings and below book value.

CHRD has a Zen Rating of A, a Strong Buy recommendation. The Component Grades reinforce the value case: Value earns an A, while Growth, Momentum, Financials, and Artificial Intelligence receive B grades. That combination suggests this is not simply a cheap energy stock. The business is growing, the balance sheet is improving, and the market trend is supportive. Bottom line: Chord has a clear portfolio catalyst and a valuation that still gives investors room if execution continues.

🥶 NOT: Digital infrastructure and bitcoin miner TeraWulf (WULF) is signing major power deals to support its AI data center ambitions, but the balance sheet behind them is extreme. Debt has surged, losses are enormous, and projected cash burn far exceeds available cash. For investors, the risk is that the AI opportunity gets overshadowed by the cost of financing it.

Shares are down more than 50% from their 52-week high, yet valuation remains steep on both book value and sales.

WULF has a Zen Rating of F, a Strong Sell recommendation. The Component Grades make the concern clearer: Sentiment and Financials both earn F grades, while Value, Momentum, Safety, and Artificial Intelligence receive D grades. Growth is the only C. That tells us the expansion story is real, but investor confidence, financial health, valuation, and price action are all working against it. Bottom line: TeraWulf may have the power contracts, but right now investors are betting as much on future financing as they are on AI demand.

🔥 HOT: FPGA chipmaker Lattice Semiconductor (LSCC) is carving out a valuable role in AI data centers. In just the past week, it launched a post-quantum security solution, won an industry cybersecurity award, and expanded its partnership with Arm. Management sees the combined AI data center opportunity reaching $3 billion. For investors, the catalyst is clear: Lattice is attaching itself to a fast-growing part of the AI buildout where security and control are becoming more important.

The pros agree. Analysts expect earnings and revenue to accelerate sharply, while shares still sit roughly 20% below their 52-week high. All ten covering analysts rate the stock Buy or Strong Buy.

LSCC has a Zen Rating of A, a Strong Buy recommendation. The underlying Component Grades show where the strength comes from: Growth earns an A, while Momentum, Sentiment, Safety, and Financials receive B grades. That points to rapid expansion backed by healthy fundamentals and broad investor support. Bottom line: Lattice has a strong AI catalyst and exceptional growth outlook, but the valuation leaves little room for disappointment.

🥶 NOT: Bitcoin miner turned AI data center operator Bitdeer (BTDR) keeps announcing ambitious new capacity, but the funding picture is becoming the bigger story. New Malaysia facilities and a huge AI cloud pipeline sound impressive, yet projected cash burn runs many times above available cash. For investors, that means the expansion plan may require significant new financing before it can produce the promised payoff.

Shares are down roughly two-thirds from their 52-week high and remain below their listing price despite operating in a relatively healthy industry.

BTDR has a Zen Rating of F, a Strong Sell recommendation. The Component Grades highlight the core problem: Sentiment, Safety, and Financials all earn F grades, while Value, Momentum, and Artificial Intelligence receive D grades. Growth is the only C. That says the company may have expansion potential, but weak financial health, poor price action, and fading confidence are overwhelming it. Bottom line: Bitdeer has a real AI strategy, but investors may end up funding the buildout long before they see the returns.
