Best Stock Screen for 2025?

When the market has endured such a nasty sell off as it has this year, then most every stock suffers the consequences. Even those considered the most attractive by experts.

This led me on an interesting quest today.

To find those rare few stocks that are in the plus column this year. The assumption being that their recent momentum is a sign of what investors are attracted to at this time.

This makes them prime investment targets in this troubling market environment.

I started with the Premium Stock Ideas list known as: Short Term Momentum Stocks.

There we find 164 stocks that match the screens main criteria:

  • A or B for overall Zen Rating
  • A or B for Momentum rating

102 of them are in the plus column the past 3 months as the market imploded.

41 are up 20% or more in that time.

11 are up 50%+

3 are up 100%+

Let’s take a step back to appreciate the bigger picture that led to these impressive results.

The Zen Ratings analyzes 115 different factors for a universe of 4,600 stocks.

This complete review helps to point out the most fundamentally sound stocks with the best upside potential. The top 20% of which are affixed with A and B ratings.

Within that group we dialed into those experiencing the healthiest momentum based on 22 unique factors. (Learn more about our exclusive Momentum ratings here).

Putting these 2 powerful elements together helps you understand why these stocks held up so amazingly well under the onslaught of this recent market correction.

Likely if current market conditions continue, then the stocks on this screen will be some of the top performers in the months ahead. Check them out now…
