🔥 HOT: Steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF) finally looks like a turnaround investors can see in the numbers. Third-quarter earnings and revenue beat estimates, management called it the strongest quarter in three years, and raised its 2027 EBITDA outlook above $4 billion as tighter steel supply supports pricing. Shares jumped about 10% on the report, while directors have been buying stock themselves. For investors, the appeal is that this recovery may still be in its early innings rather than fully priced in.
CLF has a Zen Rating of B, a Buy recommendation. The Component Grades help explain why the model is looking forward rather than backward: Growth earns an A near the top of the market, while Sentiment gets a B. That says earnings expectations are accelerating and confidence is improving even though the trailing financials still carry scars from the downturn. Bottom line: Cleveland-Cliffs just delivered its best quarter in years, raised the bar for 2027, and now has one of the strongest Growth profiles in the market. The turnaround finally has numbers behind it.
🥶 NOT: AI cloud provider CoreWeave (CRWV) has all the demand an AI infrastructure company could want. The problem is what it costs to satisfy it. CoreWeave keeps adding capacity and expanding globally, but it is doing so with enormous liabilities, heavy cash burn, and short-term obligations that far exceed short-term assets. That is why the stock recently lost roughly a third of its value in a month before rebounding. For investors, this is becoming less a bet on AI demand and more a bet that financing stays available.
CRWV has a Zen Rating of F, a Strong Sell recommendation. The Component Grades show how much of the problem sits outside growth itself: Financials earns an F, while Value, Momentum, Sentiment, Safety, and Artificial Intelligence all receive D grades. Growth is the lone C. In other words, demand is not the issue. The issue is whether the balance sheet can support the ambition. Bottom line: CoreWeave may be building critical AI infrastructure, but investors are taking on enormous financing risk to own it.
🔥 HOT: Cash-management company Brink’s (BCO) has a potentially transformative deal moving closer to completion. Its acquisition of NCR Atleos cleared an important UK regulatory hurdle after shareholders overwhelmingly backed the transaction, while earnings are forecast to more than double next year. That creates a compelling setup for investors: a major strategic catalyst is advancing just as the stock has pulled back.
BCO has a Zen Rating of B, a Buy recommendation. The Component Grades show why this is more than a deal bet: Safety earns an A, while Value gets a B. That suggests investors are getting relatively predictable earnings at a valuation that still looks reasonable compared with the growth ahead. The main caveat is Financials at C, reflecting the company’s heavy leverage. Bottom line: Brink’s offers a rare combination of a major acquisition catalyst, strong earnings growth, and a stock that has become cheaper before the deal is finished.
🥶 NOT: Quantum computing company Infleqtion (INFQ) keeps producing impressive technical milestones, but the investment case is moving in the opposite direction. The company has landed NASA work and partnerships with major technology names, yet annual revenue remains small, losses are large, and revenue is actually expected to decline next year. Meanwhile, a major shareholder has been selling repeatedly. For investors, the warning is simple: the science may be advancing faster than the business.
INFQ has a Zen Rating of D, a Sell recommendation. The Component Grades make that disconnect clear: Sentiment earns an F, while Value, Momentum, Safety, Financials, and Artificial Intelligence all receive D grades. That tells us the market is losing confidence, the valuation remains difficult to justify, and the financial foundation is weak despite the exciting headlines. Bottom line: Infleqtion may be doing genuinely important quantum work, but at more than 50 times sales with revenue expected to shrink, investors are being asked to pay for breakthroughs long before they become a business.
