Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE) is riding the same hot AI trend as DELL. That being a massive increase in the need for hardware (especially servers) for the surge in AI center demand.
This was on full display in their recent 48% earnings beat that woke up the investment world with shares rocketing up to $64...and now a bit more appealing back closer to $50. All the while the average Wall Street target stands at $70 with a street high $80.
This very much has the feeling of another Micron and SanDisk which we recently took profits on in the Zen Investor portfolio (332% and 234% respectively).
The earnings outlook is not as explosive...but certainly a tremendous earnings momentum story we want to ride for a while.
Turning to the Zen Ratings we not only have an A rated stock...but also scoring in the top 1.5% of all stocks analyzed. Now let’s drill down into the Component Grades:
Top 17% for Value
Top 16% Momentum (yes to long erm momentum...even better is buying it on a greater than 20% dip from recent highs)
Top 6% for Sentiment as the Smart money is already loading up on shares.
Top 3% for Growth (best predictor of future beats)
That is a lot of fundamental goodness packed into shares. Best of all is the earnings momentum story that has not fully unfolded given management's discussion of a record backlog of business raising visibility to future growth.
I would be plenty happy buying HPE around $50 and it rising to $80 this year. Yet, I would not be surprised with it being our next 100%+ winner.
