KeyBanc Analyst Rates Microsoft as Strong Buy, Forecasts 10.9% Increase in EPS

KeyBanc's Jason Ader initiated their coverage on Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) with a Strong Buy rating and a $490 price target. Ader highlighted Microsoft's position in the AI wave, stating that the company "sits in the catbird seat in two of the three main ways software vendors can monetize the AI wave." This is primarily due to Azure, Microsoft's cloud platform, and its suite of copilots that are being integrated across Office and other products. Ader sees the rise of AI in Microsoft's revenue stream as a "positive symptom of the company's strength in the public cloud space." The analyst also expressed confidence in Azure's growth, stating that they are "unfazed by the recent debate" around the mix between AI and non-AI within Azure.
